Zero Math Quilting Rulers & Square on Point Quilting Rulers

Quilters FAQ

If you have a Question or Suggestions
please send us an E-mail

Q. How do you get perfect points?

A. The solution to perfect points is cutting accurate patches. Our Zero Math and Square on Point Quilt Rulers are precise to + or - .004 of an inch. So you get accurately sized patches to start with. Once the patches are cut you simply assemble them using a 1/4” seam allowance and your points will consistently come out correctly

Q
.
 What is your refund Policy?

A. If you are unhappy with our quilting rulers for any reason with in 6 months of purchase return them to us with proof of purchase and we will refund your money.

Q. Do you ship to Australia.

A. Yes, we ship internationally.

Q. Is there an easy way to tell the difference between a half square triangle patch & a quarter square triangle patch by looking at a block?

A. Yes, the long edge of the half square triangle patch is never parallel to any side of the block. The long edge of the quarter square triangle patch is always parallel to 2 sides of the block.

Q. How do I create 5’’ finished blocks with the rulers?

A. The individual quilting rulers will create half size finished blocks. So you would use the 10’’ finished block ruler to create 5’’ finished blocks and simply double the patch count number. The maximum patch count across for the half size finished block is 4 in which case you would use the #8 dash line/s.

Q. How do you decide the block size?

A. I usually start with the quilt size and than determine what size block would work best for that specific quilt. If I am making a quilt with alternating blocks and want all the corners to match I would need an odd number of blocks across and down the quilt. Typically I make 10’’ or 12’’ blocks for king size quilts, 9” or 10’’ blocks for queen size quilts, 8’’ or 9’’ for lap size quilts and 6’’ or 8’’ blocks for baby quilts.
